Two Sanctuary Scotland employees recently took a break from their day jobs to volunteer at a North East charity.
Director Pat Cahill and income adviser Susan Alexander spent time with Somebody Cares.
Established in 2002, Somebody Cares is the leading organisation in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire providing free food, furniture, clothing and more to the area’s poor, vulnerable and marginalised.
Sanctuary Group’s employee volunteering scheme has been running since 2013.
Pat said: "I was keen to give something back to the community and also lead by example in our organisation to help other staff see the benefits of volunteering."
"I learned more about the charity and it also helped them to learn more about Sanctuary. It was a humbling and rewarding experience, and left me full of admiration for the charity’s volunteers who are dedicated to helping others."
